Your business matters to us, and so does your privacy. This policy explains what personal information Seven Tigers Lighting collects, why we collect it, how we protect it and the choices you have.

1. Who we are

This website, lighting.seventigers.in (the “Site”), is operated by Seven Tigers Lighting (“Seven Tigers”, “we”, “us”), the lighting wholesale and export division of Seven Tigers. We supply lighting products to business customers in India and internationally.

For the personal data described in this policy, Seven Tigers Lighting is the party that decides how and why the data is used (the “data fiduciary” or “controller”, depending on the law that applies to you).

2. Scope

This policy applies to information we collect through the Site, through our request-for-proposal form, by email, telephone and WhatsApp, and through appointments booked with us. The Site is intended for business visitors. It does not apply to third-party websites that we link to.

3. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Enquiry form: first and last name, job title, business email, mobile number, company name, company website, company phone, city, country, and the project details you choose to write.
  • Calls, email and WhatsApp: your contact details and the content of the conversation, including any quantities, specifications, delivery locations and documents you share.
  • Appointments: details you enter when booking a consultation through our Google Calendar appointment page.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and browser type, approximate location (country or city level), pages viewed, referring page, time spent and interactions such as button clicks. This is collected through Google Analytics 4 using cookies and similar technologies.
  • Basic server logs such as IP address and request time, kept for security and troubleshooting.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data through the Site, and we ask that you do not include it in your messages.

4. How we use your information

  • To respond to enquiries, prepare quotations and proforma invoices, and arrange samples, orders, shipping and after-sales support.
  • To schedule and conduct consultations.
  • To send you updates about products, ranges and offers that are relevant to your business, where you have agreed to receive them.
  • To understand how the Site is used and improve its content, performance and security.
  • To comply with legal, tax, customs and export-control obligations, and to establish or defend legal claims.

5. Consent and legal basis

We rely mainly on your consent, which you give when you submit the enquiry form or otherwise contact us, and on our legitimate business interest in responding to business enquiries and running a secure website. Where we must process data to perform a contract with you or to meet a legal duty, we do so for that reason.

This policy is written to respect the principles of the laws that may apply to our activities, including India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000; Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA); the United Arab Emirates Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data; and, where they apply to a visitor, the UK GDPR and EU GDPR.

6. Cookies and analytics

The Site uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-1T3F12RJ3S) to measure aggregate usage. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar identifiers. The optional appointment calendar on the Site is provided by Google and may set its own cookies when it loads. We do not use advertising cookies on the Site.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s opt-out browser add-on. Blocking cookies will not stop you from using the Site.

7. Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as needed with:

  • Service providers that help us run the Site and our business, such as website hosting, email and messaging, analytics (Google), calendar scheduling (Google) and customer-communication tools. They may use the data only to provide services to us.
  • Logistics, freight and customs partners, when you place an order and we need to arrange shipping and clearance.
  • Group companies within Seven Tigers, for the purposes in section 4.
  • Authorities and advisers, where required by law, to protect our rights, or to our lawyers, accountants and auditors under duties of confidentiality.
  • A buyer or successor, if our business or part of it is sold or reorganised, subject to this policy.

8. International transfers

We operate from India, the United Arab Emirates and Canada, and our service providers may process data in other countries. When your data is transferred across borders we take steps to protect it, such as confidentiality commitments and contractual safeguards, and we transfer only to destinations permitted by applicable law.

9. How long we keep information

We keep enquiry and customer records for as long as needed to deal with your request and any resulting business relationship, and afterwards for the period required for tax, accounting, customs, audit and legal purposes. Marketing contact details are kept until you withdraw consent. Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in our analytics account. When information is no longer needed we delete or anonymise it.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, including access controls and secure connections to the Site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a personal data breach affects you and the law requires us to notify you or a regulator, we will do so.

11. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; correct inaccurate data; request deletion; withdraw consent at any time; object to or restrict certain processing; receive a copy of your data in a portable format; nominate a person to exercise rights on your behalf (under Indian law); and complain to the data protection authority in your country.

To exercise these rights, write to us using the details in section 14. We may need to verify your identity first. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew it.

12. Marketing messages

If you receive updates from us you can unsubscribe at any time by replying “unsubscribe”, using the link in an email, or writing to us. We will still send messages that are necessary to handle an order or enquiry.

13. Children

The Site is for business use and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

14. Third-party links and services

The Site links to services such as WhatsApp and Google Calendar. When you use them, the provider’s own terms and privacy policy apply, and we are not responsible for their practices.
